Cross country carnival
This year the school cross country will be held at Rosford Reserve (Rosford Street and Dublin Streets, Smithfield) on Wednesday, 22nd March, 2017 starting at approximately 12.00pm.
The activity is an integral part of the sporting curriculum and therefore it is very important that all students participate.
- Students will travel by bus, leaving school at 11.00am and returning by 3.00pm.
- There will be no cost to students as the school will cover the cost of transportation to this event.
- Students will run a course of either 1000 metres (8yrs, 9yrs old) or 2000 metres. The students will be supervised at all times by teachers stationed at key points around the course.
- The first six children to finish in each age group will be invited to represent the school at the Horsley Zone Cross Country Carnival.
Students with asthma
Any student who uses a puffer for asthma will be required to carry their own personal puffer with them during their race. Please ensure that your child has their own puffer, labelled and with them for the carnival.
Canteen facilities
Students will not be able to order their lunch at the school canteen on Cross Country day but the P & C Committee will operate a canteen at the oval, selling basic lunch foods such as pies, sausage rolls and drinks. A canteen list will be provided before the carnival.
