We recently received a letter from a local Real Estate Strata Manager which reads in part:
RE: Parents Parking Vehicles on Neighbours Common Property Driveway
169 Station Street Fairfield.
I was advised by the Owners Corporation that parents from your school are parking their vehicles in the mornings and afternoons, inside the strata property, on the common driveway, while dropping off and picking up their children.
Common property driveways are a dangerous place for parents to drop off their children as children have no concept of the danger and could at any time dart out suddenly, just as a car is entering the complex, which could cause an accident.
The Owners Corporation request that you advise parents that by parking illegally they are trespassing on private property. They are requested to stop illegally parking immediately.
We request that parents / carers respect our neighbours when choosing where to park before school and at the end of the school day.
