There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

Easter Parade

Our students enjoyed showing their Easter creations at the Easter Hat Parade. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day!

NAIDOC Week

Tjupurru shared his inspiring personal journey, the history of his culture and the Djabera Djabera Tribe and the expressions of Aboriginal art and music, enriching a deeper understanding of Indigenous culture. Tjupurru captivated the students of FHPS with his extraordinary live interactive performance of the “Didjeribone Show”.

Year 5 Excursion to The Rocks

On Tuesday 17 June, students in Year 5 travelled by bus to The Rocks to learn about Australian Colonies. The students had a lot of fun dressing up as convicts and walking around the city enjoying the sights of Sydney.

Year 6 Leadership Day

Year 6 students participated in a leadership day on 2nd July in preparation for their role as Peer Support Leaders. The students learned about collaboration and teambuilding. They are all looking forward to leading their groups next term.

Teddy Bear's Picnic

Kindergarten enjoyed a Teddy Bear's Picnic on the 4 July. The children spent the day enjoying a variety of 'teddy bear' activities.

Book Week Celebrations

Everyone had a fabulous time during Book Week celebrating the joy of books. The highlight of our celebrations was the book parade- even the teachers loved getting involved!

Book Week Radio Interview

Two of our students were interviewed at the ABC studio by Hamish MacDonald. The interview was a big success! You can listen to the interview here!

Year 2 Excursion to Sydney Zoo

Year 2 students attended Sydney Zoo on Wednesday 13 August. The students had a great time exploring the zoo and getting up close with the animals!

Year 3 Excursion to Wattamolla National Park

Year 3 students attended Wattamolla National Park on Tuesday 2 September 2025. The students had a great time exploring the National Park.

Year 1 Excursion to Featherdale Wildlife Park

Year 1 students visited Featherdale Wildlife Park on the 12 September 2025. The students enjoyed learning about Australian wildlife. They had a fantastic day and really enjoyed the up- close encounters!

Kindergarten Excursion to Golden Ridge Animal Farm

Kindergarten students visit Golden Ridge Animal Farm on the 19 September 2025. The children had a fabulous time, even feeding the animals!

Disco

The students have really been enjoying our end of term discos.
