Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support.

School Values Program
Our school values program explicitly teaches the values that represent what is important to our school community. These values are cooperation, honesty, kindness, respect, responsibility and understanding.
Peer Support Program
Our Peer Support Program provides opportunities for our Year 6 students to help their peers build positive relationships across the school. This program supports respectful and positive peer relationships.
Student Representative Council
Our Student Representative Program (SRC) supports student voice in decision making, enhances student wellbeing and builds a sense of belonging for all students.
Wellbeing and Health in Reach Nurse (WHIN) Program
The Wellbeing nurse works closely with our school wellbeing and learning and support teams. They also work closely with local health and social services to support students and their families on a wide range of health and wellbeing issues.
Koori Club
Our Koori Club provides a supportive and inclusive space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to come together, celebrate their culture and connect with others.
School Psychologists
Our school psychologists work closely with our learning support teams to support the learning and wellbeing needs of our students.
